Support for MS sufferers
Cliff Hannabuss and I visited and presented cheques for a total of £500 to the MS Centre in Nailsea on the 21st December 2009.
We met the centre manager who is Ms Doro Pasantes and she gave us a tour of the facility. We met some of the staff and they demonstrated the specialised equipment available for patients. The centre is only one of three in the South West and Wales and clients travel great distances to use the facilities, particularly the decompression/oxygen chamber.
We presented Doro with cheques for £400 on behalf of the Nailsea Mark Lodge No 1548 and the Province, together with a cheque for £100 from the Estune Rose Croix Chapter No 485. She was very appreciative the gift. The money will be put to good use to purchase some further equipment for use in the Physiotherapy department.

and Mary Jane Jones in the physiotherapy department. They are standing next to an easy stand unit. This allows patients who are unable to stand unaided to stand upright in a comfortable position for a period of time, something that most of us take for granted as normal.
