There are twelve Royal Ark Mariner Lodges in the Province. All Royal Ark Mariner Lodges must be attached to a Mark Lodge and bear the same number. The number of the Royal Ark Mariner Lodge therefore gives no indication of the age of the Lodge. Irwin Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 119 is the oldest Lodge in the Province founded in 1873. While Yatton Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 967 is the newest founded in 2011.
The Royal Ark Mariner Provincial Assembly is the equivalent of the Provincial Mark Meeting. Held annually at Nailsea the PGM will appoint those worthy Royal Ark Mariners to Royal Ark Mariner Provincial Grand Rank (PrRAMGR).See report on Provincial Assembly held on 12th February 2011. The next Assembly will be held on Saturday 11th February 2012 at the Nailsea Masonic Centre, download summons and dining slip for the meeting. The Travelling Ark has the same function in Royal Ark Mariners as does the Travelling Keystone in the Mark Degree. That is to strengthen the ties between Lodges, give brethren the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones and to share in the genuine fraternity of this beautiful degree. See the Travelling Ark Programme for 2012 to 2014. The Commanders words for presenting the Travelling Ark
