Ladies hear all about the PGM's Appeal
At the Provincial meeting in held at the Webbington Hotel on Saturday 1 May, the wives and partners of brethren were treated to an explanation of the Provincial Grand Master's appeal for the charity "Hearing Dogs for Deaf People". Mrs Marilyn Sydenham explained the work of the charity, and Pearl Withyman was accompanied by her dog Pasha. Over 80 Ladies were present to hear about the charity and to see just how much a dog like Pasha could change the life of it's new owner. The Charity had received £10,000 from the brethren of Somerset at a presentation held on the 16th April. Also present at the Webbington on Saturday were representatives of St John Ambulance, this charity is also set to benefit from the generosity of Somerset Mark Masons in the near future.
The event for the ladies was organised by Mrs Hazel Guthrie, wife of the Deputy PGM.
