Provincial Roayl Ark Mariner assembly 2016

On Saturday 3rd September the Provincial Assembly was held at the Webbington Hotel for the first time. Having moved from Nailsea Masonic Hall, the venue for the past eleven years, the new venue offered much more space to hold the Assembly
The Provincial Grand Master entered at 10.30am with a procession of his Provincial Officers and opened the assembly was opened. The Provincial Grand Master was saluted and he then welcomed his many guests from the surrounding Provinces. The roll of Royal Ark Mariner Lodges was called, all the Lodges being well represented.

Worshipful Brother Derek Wilton and members of the Team of Development gave a very interesting and informative version of a playlet entitled Noah and the Ark. This work tried to differentiate fact from the biblical flood fable, it was presented in a very professional way.


The PGM thanks members of the Team - Andy Wade, Martin Slocombe, Geoff Seaman and Ian Strickland for presenting Noah and the Ark.

The PGM went on to Welcome all new members of the degree and thanked them for attending the Assembly.


W.Bro John Hartry, Commander of the Herbert Fuller Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners together with the members of his Lodge presented the Somerset Travelling Ark back to the PGM following it's circumnavigation of all the RAM Lodges in the Province.


The Provincial Grand Master then Invested the following Brethren with Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank:- W.Bro’s Mike Jakins, Lodge TI; David Forman, Lodge 119; John Morey, Lodge 128; Brian Watkis, Lodge 191; David Lampard, Lodge 348; M.ke Condick, Lodge 571; Peter Thomas, Lodge 697; Steve Williams, Lodge 730.

Having thanked everyone he then closed the Assembly and the brethren retired to enjoy a very convivial lunch with their Ladies.
