Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Somerset
GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE
BY-LAWS:
The General Purposes Committee will consist of the following: – The Provincial Grand Master, Deputy Provincial Grand Master. Provincial Treasurer, Registrar, Secretary, Charity Steward together with the Worshipful Master or Warden of each Mark Lodge in the Province shall form the General Purposes Committee.
The Chairman of the Committee will be the Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master, the Provincial Assistant Secretary will carry out the administration of the Committee.
The Committee will meet twice yearly on the last Monday in October and April except during easter when it will be the third Monday in April.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: –
- To provide a channel of communications from Lodges to the Provincial Grand Master and members of the Provincial Executive.
- To make recommendations on Charitable Fundraising and Donations to worthy causes.
- To make recommendations relating to membership, Recruitment and Retention issues.
- To receive an update on the 2028 MBF Provincial Festival.
- To receive a report from the Provincial Grand Master.
- To receive and approve the Provincial Treasures Report and Accounts
- To receive and approve the Provincial Charity Stewards Report and Accounts.
- To receive a report from the Provincial Registrar.
- The Provincial Assistant Secretary will distribute to the committee members minutes of the meeting
- It will be the responsibility of the Worshipful Master or Lodge Warden to report back to their respective Lodges.
