Sesquicentenary Anniversary of The Science Lodge
On Thursday 20th April 2023, The Science Lodge received a distinguished visit from the Provincial Grand Master and his team. The visit was twofold; firstly, to Advance Bro Mike Robotham, and secondly, to present a Sesquicentenary Warrant to the Lodge.
The Provincial team delivered an outstanding Advancement ritual, which was executed to an exceptionally high standard, much to the pleasure and inspiration of all present.
This was followed by the presentation of the Sesquicentenary warrant (150 years), with W Bro Ian Strickland, the Provincial Grand Secretary, reading the original warrant as well as the wording of the new warrant.
W Bro Steve McCarthy gave a remarkable account of the history of The Science Lodge, which was well received by all. The evening was a great success, and everyone had a wonderful time.
During the Festive Board, the Worshipful Master, W Bro Max Foote, presented a cheque for £805 from The Science Lodge to the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Phillip Voisey, for the Somerset Festival 2028. The Lodge is delighted to support such a worthy cause and contribute to the charitable efforts of the Province!
Overall, it was a night to remember for The Science Lodge, as they were honored with a visit from the Provincial Grand Master and his team, received a Sesquicentenary Warrant, and made a generous contribution to the Somerset Festival 2028.
