Adventor Club First outing is an overwhelming success at Carnarvon Mark

From the buzz at the festive Board I think that we can say that the first organised visit of the Adventor Club was a success all round.
On Monday 16th December 2024 the Carnarvon Lodge No119 were the hosts to the first organised Adventor Club visit.
On arrival Club members were made most welcome and found dining plans etc prominently placed.
In the Temple The RW Provincial Grand Master surprised most of the visitors and took the Masters chair (WB John Watts at short notice was unable to be with us).
Item 2 on the agenda was to welcome all members of the Adventor Club, the DC asked them to assemble in the East and almost 65% of brethren present (36 members) stood to be welcomed.

The Candidate Bro Dan Wilton was then Advanced into the Degree of Mark Master Mason by the R W Provincial Grand Master and the Carnarvon team and all present would agree to a very high standard.

The festive Christmas Buffet was as expected from the catering staff at Keynsham plentiful and pleasing to both the eye and pallet.

The Chairman of the Adventor Club was asked to respond to the Visitors Toast which he did on behalf of the Club, congratulating everyone who took part in the Advancement ceremony and congratulating Dan on joining the Mark Degree. He then repeated what he had said at the welcome in the Temple regarding The late W Bro Richard Connelly and how pleased Richard would have been to see his Idea of increasing the pleasure of visiting being supported by so many members at its maiden outing.
A special thank you to W Bro Richard Dredge the Secretary of Carnarvon Lodge and W Bro Paul Brice-Bullows, the Adventor Club Secretary, for their hard work in making this such a great introduction to the Adventor Club.
Just a final note to say that at the end of the evening 95% of everyone dining had become members of the Adventor Club and proudly wore their Lapel Badges.
Merry Christmas to you all.
W Bro Graham Jeffery
Chairman Adventor Club
