Another busy night at Cerdic Royal Ark Mariners on Wednesday 12th March

L to R, Acting Commander Ken Crang, Candidate Mike Donohue and Richard Stone

On an evening with limited numbers of brethren attending, even though with health and mobility issues , a splendid night was still to be had at Cerdic RAM!

Unfortunately,  the Commander Matt Layzell was unwell on the last minute, so Immediate Past Commander Ken Crang stood in with very short notice, as Commander, and what a super job he did.

Ken led the team, in his usual expert and confident manner and worked a superb ceremony of Elevation  to the candidate, Mike Donohue.

Special mentions go to Past Commanders Bob Loader who presented the signs and secrets and Mike Nathan for delivering the Working tools in good fashion. Also covering for absent members was Joesph Furneaux-Gotch who provided Mike with a confident journey around the lode room, and Richard Stone who gave a superb explanation of the steps.

Well done to all !

Not being finished..,,,,.WBro Richard Stone,( who is a visitor, one might add! ) presented a Grand Lodge Certificate to another well known Somerset Freemason, Chris Waterhouse, thanks for your help Richard !

Tony Wilcox Presents the Lodge’s MBF Grand Patron’s Collarette to actinbg Commander, Ken Crang

The Provincial Grand Master, tasked WBro Tony Wilcox to attend and surprised and honoured the lodge by presenting an MBF Gran Patron’s collarette to the acting Commander, the first RAM Lodge in the Province to achieve it apparently.

Finally, to top off a lovely evening and before the lodge was closed, Scribe Paul Brice-Bullows rose and  proposed his son, Will Bullows, as a candidate for Elevation, meaning that Commander Matt will not have learned the workings in vain and at the next meeting,  on Wednesday 28th May, there will be another special night in the Ark!

All Royal Ark Mariners welcome!!
