IT’S HIGH FIVES AT 348 RAM!
The Lodge met on Friday 10th April 2026 for our annual Installation meeting, with the Provincial Grand Master RWBro Philip Voisey RAMGR in attendance which will be his last visit to this Lodge in that role.
After a very successful year as Commander of the Lodge W Bro James Brown handed over the Bridge of the Ark to Bro Bob Nicholls with forty three members and guests attending.
The Lodge, under the command of W Bro James managed to Elevate six new members and receive two Joining members. To fit all this in we held an extra emergency meeting in February.
The only sad part of the year was that we to say farewell to four of our long serving members, W Bro’s David Palmer, Jimmy Durant, Barrie Baker and Bro Graham Lock.
W Bro James was straight into the Installation ceremony and handed over in excellent form. W Bro Bob then Installed his officers for the forthcoming year.
His first task was to invite the PrGM to present five Grand Lodge certificates to our new brethren. The PrGM admitted that this was the first occasion that he had the pleasure in presenting five GLCs at one meeting. The other GLC had been presented to Bro Grant Peckham at our meeting in January.
On completing the GLCs, the PrGM called on W Bro Matt Jarvis, his DC for the night, to present W Bro Darren Sinclair to him. The PrGM then presented Darren with his Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Collarette in readiness for his forthcoming appointment as Deputy Provincial Grand Master at the AGM in May. The Lodge is extremely proud that one of our members will hold that high office.
Bro Clive Dunster was then successfully balloted for to become our latest Joining member. We welcome him and hope he will spend many happy years with us.
At the conclusion of the Temple work, all retired to a wonderful Festive Board where the talk and banter was enjoyable.
The new Worshipful Commander must now focus his attention on the forthcoming year as we have a number of applicants ready to join this wonderful Lodge.
