Portal Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners receives the Provincial Team and the Traveling Ark
At the February meeting of the Portal Lodge 155 held at the Masonic Hall, Frome, Commander W Bro Tony Wilcox was pleased to welcome the Provincial Grand Master, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and a good number of the Provincial Team, in addition, the Commander of the Thackeray Lodge 730, W Bro Andy Wade, accompanied by a goodly number of their members delivered the traveling Ark to Portal.
What a great evening it was with close to 50 attending, RW Bro Phil Voisey lead his Provincial Team into the temple and was greeted by the Worshipful Commander. Having tried really hard to get the Provincial Grand Master to take the chair, W Bro Tony settled down to Exalt their new candidate into the lodge. Brother Max Foote was a fine candidate and the whole ceremony was excellently performed by all concerned.

The presentation of the traveling Ark was next of the summons and the Worshipful Commander of Thackeray did the honors.
With still more to come the Provincial Grand Master then presented the Worshipful Commander, Worshipful Brother Tony with his personal Vice Patron Collarette which recognises his contribution to the Somerset 2028 Festival.
With 8.15 pm approaching the Lodge was closed and all adjourned to the Dining room to
enjoy a hearty meal in good company.
