2024 Annual General Meeting

As is customary, the Annual Meeting for Somerset Mark Master Masons was held at the Webbington Hotel at the beginning of May. One hundred fifty Brethren turned up to watch their friends and colleagues be honoured with Somerset Provincial Mark Rank.
The Provincial Grand Master welcomed everyone, including his distinguished visitors from other Provinces and the Heads of other Orders meeting in Somerset.

A delegation of Royal Ark Mariners was received.


The new Provincial Senior Warden, Worshipful Brother Darren Sinclair, and Junior Warden, Worshipful Brother Samuel Mayer, were Invested.

As were the new Master Overseer George Small, Senior Overseer David Maddern and Junior Overseer Richard Kilburn.
The investiture ceremony also included the First Appointments and Promotions of Active and Past Somerset Provincial Officers, a momentous occasion recognising their dedication and service to our organisation.



























The Travelling Key Stone, having completed it’s journey around Somerset, was returned by the Portal Lodge of Mark Master Masons in due form.



The Provincial Grand Master congratulated all Provincial Honours recipients for their hard work and dedication to Mark Masonry in Somerset and in general. He encouraged everyone to support the Membership Challenge in the Craft, noting that this will help lead to more vibrant Mark Lodges.

The District Grand Master Right Illustrious Keith Surry, from the order of Royal and Selected Masters was presented a cheque towards the 150 year Grand Masters Appeal.

The Craft Provincial Grand Master Raymond Guthrie also made a donation, on the behalf of Craft Freemasons, toward the Somerset 2028 Festival.

The PGM thanked everyone for attending and looked forwarded to seeing them at next years Annual General Meeting, which will be on the 1st of May, 2025.
