New Master takes the chair at Portcullis Lodge 1656

At their November Installation meeting Portcullis lodge 1656 were delighted and honoured to welcome the Deputy PrGM of Somerset, Tony Guthrie, accompanied by Provincial AGDC Matt Jarvis, along with seven Grand Officers, including The active Grand Assistant Director of Ceremonies, Graham Jeffries.  The WM Tony Hooper installed his successor Barry Horsegood into the Chair with his usual style.  The WM then installed his officers in customarily Mark fashion.

Deputy PrGM Tony Guthrie presents a GL Certificate to Steve Loveridge

The Deputy PrGM was delighted to present a Grand Lodge certificate to Bro Steve Loveridge and spoke about the delightful degree of Royal Ark Mariners.

The festive board was a sumptuous Carvery at the Langport Arms where over forty dined.  The DPGM spoke about the 2028 Festival and the PrGM’s wish for all Mark Lodges to achieve the MBF Grand Patron Gold standard. The raffle then raised £155. 

The Lodge is looking forward to another good year with candidates lined up for every meeting.
