Monument Lodge Advancement Ceremony with a visit from the Adventor Club!

The March 2026 meeting of the Monument Lodge witnessed a most successful and well-attended Advancement Ceremony in Wellington, conducted with dignity and precision. The candidate Bro Richard Manning said how much he had enjoyed the ceremony.

The working was expertly carried out by the Worshipful Master, Matt Layzell, whose leadership ensured a high standard of ritual throughout. He was ably assisted by the dedicated members of the Lodge, whose collective efforts contributed greatly to the evening’s success, particularly those who in Mark traditional fashion, willingly stood in at the last minute.

It was particularly pleasing to recieve the Adventor Club Chairman Graham Jeffery, Secretary Paul Brice-Bullows, and members of the Club, with some fifteen standing to receive the welcome and whose presence added to the spirit of the occasion and provided an opportunity for them to witness the workings of the Order in practice. Their attendance was warmly received by all present and the brethren were also delighted to to welcome the Deputy Provincial Grand Master Designate, Darren Sinclair.

The ceremony was conducted in a manner befitting the traditions of Mark Masonry, reflecting both the commitment and harmony within the Lodge. Such occasions serve to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and uphold the values we all share.

The Master also had a very pleasant task to carry out, which was to present WBro Ron Troup, a Certificate of Achievement celebrating forty years as a Mark Master Mason, quite an achievement!
