Portcullis kicks off the new Season!

Portcullis Mark Lodge kicked off the new season by Advancing Bro Alfie Isaacs a member of Portcullis Craft lodge. The WM, Bro Barry Horsegood, was at the helm for the ceremony and was very ably assisted by his team. 

Other business of the evening included the election of a new Master for the ensuing year and your humble narrator was elected to that office. The lodge was also glad to elect a new treasurer and are very grateful for Neil Hitchcott taking on this important office. Neil has already put in hours of work into trying to sort out the Lodge accounts. The Charity Steward informed the lodge of a donation of £1000 to the Festival from the Charity account.

The lodge also has a number of candidates lined up for next year with mummering’s of double advancements on the cards.

The festive board was held at the Langport Arms and a further £110 was raised from the raffle.
