Quantock Mark Lodge Secures MBF funding of over £13,000 to help Bridgwater Based Charity ‘Brainwave’

In its own words, ‘Brainwave’, based in Bridgwater, is a charity that exists to help children with disabilities achieve greater independence by aiming to improve their mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of specialist therapies.

The idea of WM David Preece, and assisted by Lodge Charity Steward Stuart Morgan, Quantock Mark Lodge provided details of the charity and applied to the Mark Benevolent Fund in London for a grant to help Brainwave install a new wheelchair accessible roundabout for the sensory garden at their Huntworth facility in Bridgwater. They didn’t have to wait too long before receiving notification that a grant of £13,026 had been approved and those monies have already been passed to the charity and plans are in the making for a formal presentation in the spring following completion of the work.

This success story evidences how important our contributions to the MBF Festivals really are, bringing help to deserving causes in our local area.

A further report will be added following the presentation!
