Mark Open Evening

Whilst many were enjoying Valentines evening, some journeyed out in the blustery weather to find out about the Mark Degree.

Royal Cumberland Lodge of Mark Master Masons through open its doors to let in prospective candidates, they found out where the order might have start why it may have been practiced in craft lodges, and why it probably isn’t today. They also found out about the four additional offices found in a Mark Lodge.

This lead to healthy and lively debate, many points of few were exchanged as to the what, hows and whys of the Order.

They potential candidates feeling well informed, and were keen to be Advanced in to this friendly degree at some point in the not to distant future.

The evening was rounded off with a Curry Festive Board, where the debate continued which somehow ventured into other companion orders in Freemasonry.

Opening evenings, are a good way to inform potential recruits about the degree, why not organise one in your hall.
