Advancement at Portcullis Mark 1656

A wonderful Advancement ceremony was performed on Tuesday 16th April at the World Famous Hanging Chapel to bring Bro Robert Isaacs into our fantastic Order. However, the evening did start off on a sad note as we remembered our dear Brother and Founder, Peter Knapman who sadly passed to the Grand Lodge above on the 15th April.

We had a plethora of visitors from as far as Essex and Hertfordshire to come along to see Rob’s advancement.  We were also honoured to be in the company of the Provincial Senior Grand Warden Roger Reina and a number of Grand Officers one of whom Bob O’Malley-White stepped into the Chair of the Senior Warden.

The Festive Board was in the usual Portcullis style of fun and friendship.  The raffle raised £150 and a further £30 was donated to our Senior Deacon,  Mike Norton’s fund raising London marathon run on Sunday.
