Else Lodge No. 102 make donation to Weston-super-Mare Sea Cadets

The Worshipful Master of the Else Lodge No. 102, Harold Blackwell, presented a cheque for £1000 to his chosen charity, the Training Ship Weston Sea Cadet Corps (TS Weston).
He was welcomed to the Unit by the Sea Cadet Band, had a guided tour of the facilities and watched Cadet activities. He was honoured to be invited to inspect the parade of Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets.

In making the presentation W. Bro Harold said “I am proud to be able to present such a good amount to help the young people of our town as they start out on their life’s journey. Our two organisations have a shared aim of recognising the good in people and helping them to excel in life. As a Sea Cadet in my teenage years, I benefited greatly from the opportunities the Corps offers young people.”
The Unit Commanding Officer, Lt Barry Fear RNR (SCC), was delighted to receive the donation which will be used to enhance the Cadets’ experience. He thanked W. Bro Harold on behalf of everyone at TS Weston.
