The Adventor Club visit Mendip Mark Lodge No 781

On Tuesday, January 21st, the Adventor Club made their third visit since its inception. This time its hosts were the Mendip Mark Lodge.
A change to the normal venue was necessary due to unforeseen problems with the Caterer at Glastonbury, but much credit must go to W Bro Roger Reina the lodge secretary for rearranging the venue to Wedmore and securing the catering services of Zena and her team.
W Bro Terry Wadman took the Worshipful Masters chair because W Bro Bob O’Malley-White was enjoying a month-long cruise.
W Bro Terry greeted the RW Provincial Grand Master, R W Bro Phil Voisey, who explained that he was attending as a member of the Adventor Club and declined the Gavel.
The W Master then announced the next item, which was to welcome the Chairman and members of the Adventor Club. At least 50% of those present stood and assembled in the east. The Chairman thanked the Worshipful Master and the members of Mendip Mark Lodge for the kind and warm welcome.
After completing all formalities, the Worshipful Master and his team proceeded to Advance Bro Henry West, some Adventor members helped with the ceremony.

The DC introduced the customary people to the Festive Board, and over 40 hungry Mark Masons enjoyed an excellent meal.
The various Toasts were given. After his Toast, the R W Provincial Grand Master, R W Bro Phil Voisey spoke about the 2028 Festival, including regular giving and the need to support the upcoming Casino night in March.
The Visitor’s Toast was given and the Chairman of the Adventor Club responded, he explained the history of the club and the benefits of being part of a visiting team. He finished by thanking Mendip Mark lodge for their hospitality and friendship and thanked W Bro Roger Reina the Lodge Secretary and Paul Brice-Bullows the Adventor Club Secretary for arranging a great evening.
He confirmed that during the Festive Board, another 15 members had joined the club and were proudly wearing their A/c lapel badge.
