Visit to Bristol Masonic Hall by the SAMMs Demonstration Team

Wednesday 12th February, (11am tyle)  the SAMMS demonstration team , were at the splendid Bristol Masonic Hall, in Park Street. The team was invited by the John Platts Mark Lodge ( 2046), to perform a demonstration, a newly consecrated Mark Lodge,  founded in October 2022.

This was arranged by R.W Bro John Morgan,  Past Provincial Grand Master,  for the Province of Somerset,  also a member of John Platts Mark lodge, with much additional effort from W.Bro Mike Fazakerley the SAMMS Secretary and W.Bro Paul Robinson, the Secretary of John Platts.

After the lodge was duly opened, the SAMMS team were introduced with a narration beforehand by John Morgan. A fine ceremony then was conducted,  led by the Worshipful Sir ( W.Bro Ian Strickland), with various amounts of thespian and other methods of creative input by members of the team, which will live long in the memory of the 40 plus brethren,  who attended this meeting!

All the brethren,  then retired to a fine festive board where the SAMMS team gave their traditional  ‘ sing song’ and their toast to King George III, the good old days !

Our thanks go to the generosity of  the John Platts Mark lodge ( 2046) and especially to the Worshipful Master,  W.Bro Sam Glenn, who kept us well fed and our glasses full!

Hopefully,  there is another upcoming demonstration,  in South Gloucestershire.
