The Adventor Club Turn out in numbers to Cerdic RAM to support the Club Secretary Paul and his son William
The Adventor Club added an extra visit to its schedule, Cerdic Royal Ark Mariner Lodge No 571 to support W Bro Paul Brice-Bullows who’s Son Will was the candidate for Elevation.
Almost 40 Royal Ark Mariners 25 of which were Club members including the R W Provincial Grand Master Phil Voisey and Deputy Provincial Grand Master Tony Guthrie travelling from all points of the Province turned up at the Chard Temple to support Paul and see the Lodge Elevate Will to the Degree of Royal Ark Mariner.
The R W Provincial Master was proffered the Gavel but he politely rejected it and this was followed by a welcome to the Adventor Club Chairman and members who stood and formed an impressive Triangle with its numbers, the Chairman commented on the warm welcome and added that the large number of members attending was a reflection of the work W Bro Paul Brice-Bullows had put into the success of getting the Adventor Club Established.
The Elevation ceremony was conducted by the Worshipful Commander W Bro Matt Lazell ably assisted by his Officers and visiting members of the Adventor Club , particular mention must go to Junior Warden Brother Robert Thomas, W Bro Richard Stone for his explanation of the 9 Steps and W Bro Mike Nathan for his explanation of the Working Tools and W Bro Ken Crang for his explanation of the Signs and Secrets.
The candidate Bro William Bullows was a great candidate and clearly enjoyed the ceremony as did Dad W Bro Paul Brice-Bullows who was visibly a very proud Father.
After the ceremony, the PGM Phil Voisey kind explained and presented a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro Mike Donohue, who was Elevated at the previous meeting in March.
The Festive Board was held next door at the Phoenix Hotel and had a great buzz with excellent food and drink. In his toast to his son, Paul said how grateful he was to the leaders, the Club Chairman and so many club and lodge members for their support. All went home happy especially the 7 new members of the Adventor Club complete with their distinctive A/C lapel badges, the Adventor Club membership now standing at 214.
