Installation of Chris Jeffrey at Cerdic RAM Chard

The recent well attended meeting of Chard based Cerdic Royal Ark Mariner Lodge No 571 started the Masonic year for most brethren and witnessed a busy night which provided a variety of work, and all agreed, was a very happy enjoyable meeting.

Assisted by his DC, Matt Jarvis, The Deputy Provincial Grand Master Tony Guthrie entered the lodge and was welcomed by Matt Layzell in the chair and saluted.

The main business was to Install the new Commander, WBro Chris Jeffrey, a task ably completed by Installing Commander Matt Layzell. Chris then invested his officers for the year.

Tony Guthrie gave a super presentation of the address to the Commander followed soon after by kindly presenting and explaining a Grand Lodge Certificate to the newest member, Will Bullows.

A very convivial social board followed at the Phoenix Hotel next door when brethren enjoyed lovely food and the best company.
