Martin gets Elevated

The penultimate Provincial visit of the season saw the Provincial Grand Master, Phil Voisey, accompanied by his team, attend a meeting of Bath Royal Ark Mariners — a visit that carried added significance ahead of his retirement at the forthcoming Provincial AGM in May.

The meeting was held under the direction of the Worshipful Commander, WBro Craig Harding, who, supported by his Officers, conducted the Elevation ceremony of Bro Martin Man into the Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariners.

Although this marked the first candidate since the Worshipful Commander’s own Elevation, the team pulled together in fine style to deliver the ceremony to a high standard. The evening provided a memorable occasion for the candidate, with the presence of the Provincial Grand Master and his team making it particularly special — a bittersweet moment as one of his final official visits in the role.

Following the meeting, companions retired to the festive board, where the atmosphere was warm and convivial, with a thoroughly enjoyable time had by all.

Building on this success, the Lodge looks forward to welcoming another candidate at their next meeting in November, with the team already aiming to build on and surpass this performance.

This visit stands as a fitting example of the continued strength and vitality of Royal Ark Mariners masonry in Bath, and a memorable chapter in the closing stages of a distinguished Provincial year.all.
