Somerset Installed Mark Masters’ Lodge meet concurrently with RAM Commanders Lodge

Adventor Club Chairman, Graham Jeffrey, presents the PGM with the one of the first Adventor Club certificates and club cufflinks, awarded for attending meetings at all Mark lodges in the Province!

Immediately following the meeting of Somerset Commanders lodge, the Somerset Installed Mark Masters’ Lodge was opened. It was organised this way to see how the two meetings could successfully run concurrently at the same hall with the Commanders Lodge incorporating the RAM Provincial Assembly. The feedback so far has been very positive and encouraging and will be repeated next year.

During this meeting, Graham Jeffrey presented George Sargeant and Phil Voisey with their Adventor Club cufflinks and certificate, recognising their visits to every Mark lodge in the Province. To qualify for the accompanying tie clip, they must visit all RAM lodges in the Province—a challenge introduced in memory of the late WBro Richard Conneelly, designed to encourage visiting and strengthen fellowship within the Province.

Several brethren were also awarded MBF collerettes for their contributions to the 2028 MBF Festival. In particular, Bob O’Malley-White and Craig Harding who each received the highest Grand Patron Diamond Awards, making them eligible to join the prestigious Diamond Geezers Dining Club meeting quarterly at Mark Masons’ Hall in St. James’s, London.

Towards the end of the meeting. Club Chairman Graham Jeffrey gave a brief talk about the Adventor Club, which had been the idea of the late Richard Conneelly, with the aim of encouraging visiting in Mark Lodges. He noted how successful the project had been and thanked the brethren for supporting it in such good numbers. He confirmed that the visit schedule for the coming year would be published in the next week or two.

The evening concluded with an excellent festive board, providing members with the opportunity to celebrate achievements, enjoy fellowship, and reflect on the continuing strength and vitality of lodges across the province.
