The Provincial Grand Master visits William De Irwin 162

At the William de Irwin regular lodge meeting held on 26th January 2023, I had the pleasure to present to the WM Ben Batley, the lodge’s Grand patron Gold Award collarette from the MBF, this now makes four Mark lodges in Somerset that have already achieved the target I set at the festival launch party last May.

In the picture receiving the award are the PGM, WM Ben Batley, WM, and W Bro Stan Hill the lodge charity steward, whose thanks go for all his hard work in raising charity funds.

I also presented W Bro Ken Crang with his Patron collarette from the MBF in recognition of the donation Ken has made to the MBF and Somerset 2028 Festival. ( see a picture of PGM presenting W Bro Ken with his collar)

I also presented W Bro Brian Foster with his 30-year service certificate from the Province, many congratulations to Brian. I also had a certificate for W Bro Ray Frailes who was absent due to being unwell at this time, so I have left it with the Provincial Junior Warden Mike Nathan to call on Ray with members of the lodge to present him with his certificate. ( see picture PGM presenting the certificate to W Bro Brian) At the meeting Bro. Stuart Foster was advanced into the Mark by the WM Ben Batley being well supported by the officers of the lodge, the quality of the ceremony was of the highest standard giving Stuart a first-class introduction to Mark masonry, and all who took part were to be congratulated.
