Science Mark Lodge128 Advancement
The Worshipful Master and Brethren of Science Mark Lodge 128 in Wincanton were delighted to be able to Advance a very well known Dorset (Kings Court) and Somerset (Brotherly Love) Craft Mason, Roger Knight at their January Meeting.
Around 30 Mark Master Masons were present to take part in and witness an excellent ceremony conducted by the Brethren of the Lodge, with newly Advanced Brother Roger thoroughly impressed with his evening.
The Meeting was honoured by the presence of many distinguished Brethren including the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Tony Guthrie, W Bro Steve Defries who had earlier in the week been presented with his 50 Year Certificate in Mark Masonry at Mendip Mark Lodge and the WM of William de Irwin MMM Lodge in Yeovil, W Bro Ben Batley, more famously known of course for his role as Deputy Provincial Grand Master in the Craft. (W Bro Ben is pictured below responding in usual fine fashion to the Visitors Toast).
Following the Lodge Meeting the Brethren retired to the dining room below where a hearty meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all, particularly some rather incredible faggots.
All in all a wonderful meeting, enjoyed by everyone. The next Meeting of Science Lodge 128MMM will be held on Thursday 20th April where it is hoped that the Provincial Team will be in attendance to conduct the Advancement Ceremony and when the Lodge will also be presented with it’s Sesqui-Centenary Warrant.
