Antient Mark visits 2nd Oldest Mark Lodge in Somerset
At the May regular meeting of Else Mark Lodge 102, the Somerset Antient Mark Masons (SAMMs) team demonstrated a 200 year old ceremony of Advancement lead by Worthy Sir Ian Strickland.

The ceremony was rediscovered 30 years ago by a PDPGM at Royal Cumberland Lodge of Mark Master Masons TI in Bath and was 1st performed at George Norman Lodge in 1995. Since then, the team has travelled the country and parts of the Europe demonstrating this unqiue and colourful ceremony. They have raised £20k for charity in that time!
Unfortunately, the pandemic has meant that the team has shrunk to about 15 members. The team are keen to welcome new members, if this is something you would like to get involved with please contact the SAMMs team to find out more!
During the evening Stephen Williams was presented a certificate for 40 years in Mark Masonry.

At the festive board we were treated to an excellent 3 course meal. Starter Egg Mayo salad. Main cold meats and salad, and Eaton mess.

The raffle raised £250 for the SAMMs charity.
