Roger takes the Commander’s Chair at Frome
At Portal Royal Ark Mariners Lodge on Wednesday 18th September W Bro Colin Ayton installed Bro Roger Raina in the Commanders Chair.
The whole evening was just excellent with a great turnout to see Roger take the Commander’s chair for the first time.
A lodge was honoured to receive RW Bro Phil Voisey, Provincial Grand Master, and his deputy W Bro Tony Guthrie. R W Bro Phil complimented everyone who had worked so hard to make the evening enjoyable.
Later in the evening, (see above) the Provincial Grand Master presented Bro Terry Hulbert with his Festival Honorifics collar gained through Regular giving.
At the close of the evening over 50 Ark Mariners sat down to enjoy the Festive Board and to listen to the new commander thank everyone for making his special evening so memorable .
The RW Provincial Grand master on rising in the lodge spoke about the new Adventor Club and how he hoped that it would encourage more Mark and Royal Ark Mariners to visit other lodges.
Everyone departed agreeing it had been a great evening.
