Royal Ark Mariner Assembly 2024
Well over 50 Royal Ark Mariners assembled at the Commanders Lodge in Wedmore to witness the Provincial Grand Master RW Bro Phil Voisey open the Annual Assembly for 2024.
A good number of the Active Provincial team accompanied the PGM and DPGM for the meeting where 6 Somerset Royal Ark Mariners received their Provincial Grand rank honours.
During the meeting, the PGM presented two lodges with their Festival 2028 awards (see photos below) a Grand Patron Award for Irwin Lodge and a Vice Patron Award for the Exmoor Lodge.
In his address to the brethren, the PGM congratulated all members for supporting their lodges and for many who actively visited other lodges. He spoke about the quality of ritual he had witnessed around the province and urged all to keep up that good work.
He then went on to speak about the Adventor Club and how following the success of it being introduced to the Mark degree it would now be part of the Royal Ark Mariners and that the visiting cards were now available.
He then explained to the brethren that a new section of the Adventor club for dining would be introduced and that the chairman W Bro Graham Jeffery had appointed a secretary, W Bro Paul Brice-Bullows, to administer it. The aim is to encourage club members to visit other lodges in a group and for the secretary to make all the arrangements.

The evening was completed with great food and company and everyone agreed that holding the assembly at the Commanders Lodge meeting was the right thing to do.
